Swedish gun dinghy

A disintegrated wreck is located in the shallow waters south of Haikkulainen island. It is possible that these are the remains of a Swedish gun dinghy. Two vessels of this size sank during the Second Battle of Svensksund. During the battle, some of the smaller vessels of the Swedish line went around Lehmäsaari to attack the Russian vessels from the rear. Russian gun sloops were first able to repel the attack by moving to the strait between Lehmäsaari and Kirkonmaa. Some Russian vessels interpreted this manoeuvre to mean an order of retreat.
